Encrypted twice
In transit and at rest — and student names and grades are encrypted again inside our database, on top of the provider's.
Never trains any model
Student work and your corrections are never used to train AI. Not ours, not anyone's.
Delete means delete
One grade, one assessment, or your whole account — removed immediately, permanently. No soft delete, no retention.
Flagged, not guessed
An uncertain read comes to you with the reason. Nothing is silently scored, and every score stays yours to change.
Signs you out
A laptop left open in the staffroom signs itself out. Shared results are PIN-protected and show one result only.
Never sold, never advertised
No data is sold, and none is used for advertising. Product analytics see feature use — never a name, a grade, or a paper.
The one thing we do send
To grade a paper, we send it to our AI provider.
That is how the reading works. The Privacy Policy lists exactly who receives what. And on FERPA: it binds schools, not vendors — so check your district's policy before uploading student work. We'd rather say that than pretend a badge covers it.
