Terms and Conditions

Agreement

These terms govern your use of SuperGrader. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you are accepting on behalf of a school or district, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and be an educator or work in an educational setting.
  • Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Give us an email address you actually read — it is how we reach you about your account.
  • Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access to your account.

Grading is assistance, not a substitute for your judgement

This matters more than anything else in these terms, so it is stated plainly: SuperGrader uses AI models that make mistakes. It can misread handwriting, miss a marked answer, misjudge an open-ended response, or award the wrong score.

The service shows a confidence level and flags answers it is unsure about precisely because it is not always right. Every grade is a draft for you to review. You remain solely responsible for the marks you record, report or return to students and their families. Do not release a grade you have not checked.

We make no warranty that grading will be accurate, complete or consistent, and we are not responsible for academic, disciplinary or other consequences of a grade you issue.

Content you upload

You keep ownership of everything you upload — student papers, answer keys, rubrics. You grant us only the permission we need to run the service for you: to store your content, to send it to the AI providers that grade it, and to display it back to you.

By uploading, you confirm that:

  • You have the right to upload the content and to have it processed this way.
  • You have any permissions your school, district or local law requires for sending student work to a third-party AI service.
  • The content does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

How that content is handled, and who else processes it, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for anything other than grading educational work.
  • Upload content that is unlawful, or that you have no right to share.
  • Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.
  • Resell the service, or share one account across multiple teachers.
  • Use automated means to extract data from the service in bulk.

Free allowance and subscriptions

  • Free accounts include 10 graded papers per calendar month. The allowance resets at the start of each month.
  • SuperGrader Pro is $14.99 per month for unlimited grading, billed monthly in advance through Stripe.
  • You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep access until then.
  • New Pro subscribers can request a full refund within 30 days of their first payment.
  • If we change the price, we will tell you before it applies to you, and you may cancel instead.

Intellectual property

The service, its software and its branding remain the property of SuperGrader and its licensors. Your subscription grants you the right to use the service, not to copy, resell or reverse-engineer it. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything you upload — that stays yours.

Availability

We work to keep SuperGrader running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may need to take it down for maintenance, and providers we depend on can have outages of their own. The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including lost data, lost time, or the consequences of an inaccurate grade.

Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, in which case they apply only as far as they legally can.

Ending your use

You can stop using SuperGrader whenever you like and delete your account from Settings, which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. If we close your account without cause, we will refund any unused portion of a subscription you have paid for.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify account holders by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
